The Kansas City District is one of 44 districts in 9 Corps of Engineers divisions which are comprised of hundreds of areas, project, and resident engineer offices worldwide.
Established in 1907, KC District missions include Civil Works, Military Construction, the cleanup of Hazardous, Toxic and Radiation waste. Its Civil Works boundaries take in parts of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Colorado. Its Military Construction boundaries encompass the states of Missouri and Kansas.
The Kansas City District selected GPW for a multi-year, multi-discipline Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for Architect-Engineer services. The contract covered Kansas City District military installations including Fort Leavenworth, Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Riley, McConnell Air Force Base, and Whiteman Air Force Base.
GPW’s services under the IDIQ contract included architecture, landscape, civil, structural, fire protection, historical preservation, environmental, mechanical, electrical, plumbing design and studies, programming, project management, and special studies.
